Some might say sugar, coffee, wine or a good book for their guilty
pleasures. Here are two of my guilty pleasures coupled into one image.
Light/sun and mood/emotion. I will take these over any other guilty
pleasure any day. If I am having a bad day, grabbing my camera and
setting out into the light/sun with a bit of mood can cure just about
anything.
Yes I have a little addiction.
And of course as always Be Nice!

I love how sweet and kind you
are to other beings, everything and everyone is your 'best friend'. You
see only good in the world and in people, it kills me that one day I
need to tell you that not everyone is as good as you believe. I wish I
could give you this perfect world where everyone is good but I can't,
but at least for now I still can.

“The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and the heart of the child."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
I'm so grateful for these times I see them all together, or in pairs, or alone, noticing a tiny detail about the world. The days can be so overwhelming- places to be, loud noises, many opinions; it seems a luxurious pleasure to be able to stop, bask in the sun, and pay attention to something so small you can hold it between your fingertips.

At
3 yrs old, while teaching her to write I noticed a tiny bump on her
left thumb. At first the doctor said it was nothing to worry about, but
a couple of months went by and the bump got more pronounced. It turned
out she had a "trigger" thumb. What 3 yr old has a trigger thumb? It
didn't hurt her, but she started to lose her range of motion. She had a
small surgery and it was fine. I'm grateful that she has full range of
her fingers and hands. She's 5 now and still has no preference for
either hand.
Now, all her mama needs to do is get her a manicure :)

I am thankful today for my father, he is an amazing man and we love him so much!
My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me.

I will always choose emotion over technicalities, it is my guilty pleasure.
