There are moments as parents that evoke a gasp, a realization, a sudden moment that leaves us in awe. It could be a sparkle of the eye, a trill of laughter or a gentle touch of tiny fingers. Whatever the moment, we are left in utter amazement and bewilderment. What did I do to deserve this? To be a parent of this beautiful soul? And we are moved to tears and gratefulness.

Grateful for small, cherished treasures.  We have collections of sticks, stones, shells, stinky crab legs and their bodies, and asphalt!  But it keeps him happy too and in the end that's all that matters.
